Default New member few questions

I'm new to the forum, I'm sure this has been asked hundreds of times! We have 2 keys for the car, one will unlock/ lock. The other key will only do the same when next to ignition?? Also the back lock switch for the window lock doesn't seem to work? Any help would be appreciated. Ps. I've tried all the stuff with key, put in ignition etc

The problem with the key sounds like a weak battery in the keyfob.

I don't understand the 2nd question - can you re-phrase it?

When you press child lock, the light comes on for a second then goes off, you can still open rear windows

If the light does not stay on, the child lock system is defective.

The handbook says "This indicator light remains on until the child lock is deactivated. Any other status of the indicator light indicates a malfunction of the electric child lock. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer to have the system checked."

I've changed the batteries in both key jobs, one is fine the other only works if you press it on the glass on drivers side???
