The chances are you won't get the result you want if fitted to a reflector headlight. Would probably improve a projector type though. Note the LED unit fitted to the new 308 is a projector type, and is indeed excellent.

Maybe you're right. I don't know what exactly Philips think with: The Philips X-tremeUltinon LED lights are designed specifically for complex projector headlights. At the same time they provide extra boost when used in reflector luminaires and hence serve you in a wide variety of car models, regardless of your luminaire.
I've just realized that is possible to buy these for approx. 80 here in Croatia.
No matter what - interesting.

You may find these are not legal for road use:

PLEASE NOTE: These bulbs do not have ECE approval, and as such their usage is currently not approved for use on public roads: their usage is limited to ‘off-road’ applications.
