I doubt it makes any difference i just drop them in no way they always land right way up lol

Important thing in my experience is to tighten it up properly and retighten after its run and cooled as the copper will soften with the heat so needs a bit more tightening

I noticed that they felt almost loose once retorqued they were fine

I'm finding I'm leaking more oil now they before so need to strip to see. Don't think it's leaking from the copper seal but I wasn't sure

The copper injector seals are into the combustion chamber so if these are leaking oil you've got MAJOR engine issues

From what I gather, the rocker cover/head has separate seals around the injector body which is where oil around the head usually comes from - happy to be corrected on that though.

That's correct I put a dab of oil on mine this time but it's such a tight fit so easy to damage them

This is what I found when I took the injector out. Either it was stuck or the reason the last owner put 2 washers is eveident any idea what this would be the bolts were tight

The little bit of carbon left I cleaned up but I'm sure the seal went all the way to the injector

Car run fine like that lol only was leaking oil

The top seals are a stupid design and need to be fitted correctly this is where the oil comes from not the copper seal

Any tips I drifted the top seal in neatly and flush used a tiny oil to stop the seal snagging on the injector as I push it in as it's a tight fit alternated tightening the bolts up

It leaked less before with a knackered top seal lol
