Default Heater Fan Poor output

Pug 308s 2010 1.6 hdi

The cabin fan for the heater seems to be struggling, the speed varies by itself.
Anyone know of the approximate cost of the fan unit, and how easy to replace the fan. Thanks.

When was the pollen filter last changed. Does the car have A/C or climate control (Digital Temp selection). If Climate control speed controller maybe failing

Otherwise a drop of oil on the fan bearings would possibly sort it.

it has A/C, and that works fine.

When on warm setting, it struggles.

Cost and is it a DIY job please.

Pollen filter is clean, replaced in August. A/C works fine, and fan speed is strong and steady speed on COLD setting.

When control ( NB NOT climate control) is turned round to WARM setting, the fan speed slows down and the speed starts to vary.

So, want to replace the fan unit, as previously stated.

How and where is the unit, and the approx. cost please.

It will not be the fan if it runs normally with cold air. Its either heater flaps or controls not working correctly and restricting airflow into heater box.

Or possible the fan speed controller/resistor is failing and warm airflow is makes it worse.

If you do want to change it i would look at a breakers dealer cost is 300+
