Default Gear Shift Indicator

Hi Guys

308 110 bhp
The Gear Shift Indicator recomends to shift from 2nd to 3th at 20mph and 3th to 4th at 40mph.
Makes no difference if car is accelerating fast or slow. Is this normal?
To me, it seems like well to late.

And the indicator goes off if you lift your foot off the accelerator pedal.

Yes, 1.8K rpm is when I usualy shift as it feels about right.
Just checked agains the rpm's, on my the indicator comes up at 3K rpm, and it makes no difference if acelerating slow or fast.
Surely a foult...
