Default Fuse box in engine bay replacement

Hi guys

I have been advised I need to replace my fuse box to fix my air con problem and would like to know if you can give some advice/tips how to do it?

Also do you know where I can buy one cheaper? Part number is 9664706280, Peugeot 308, 1.6, EP6

Thanks!!

I think the 308 is too relatively new to have parts suppliers other than Pug dealers doing them. You could always put "308 breaking" into Ebay and find it a scrappie has got one in.

But I'd seriously look at alternatives to solving your problem - maybe eliminating the fuse box altogether.

I had a similar problem on a 307, rear foglights would not work through the fuse box. We just took the box out of the equation and fused it separately.

As Gibbo said and as I replied on your other thread regarding this, wire a suppply to the aircon pump clutch seperately.

A 308 is not that old I would ask Peugeot if they will contribute towards the cost as it should last longer.

I have exactly the same problem, air con not working, have had a independent check done on compressor, gas and pressures all work fine when controlled manually, Peugeot dealer said engine fuse box issue. Called in to the dealer again today armed with all the paperwork from VOSA and have been advised that no recall was done on my vehicle although it falls in to all the categories of the recall notice, year, model, build date, have raised an issue with Peugeot Customer Relations and am waiting on a response.

I have spoken to the dealer over the phone and they've said my fuse box didn't need replacement, so I'm a bit confused now

I have a fault with thermostat circuit also so I am going to replace it and see whether this will help......

At the local garage they've said that ECU can block the a/c to start (compressor) due to problems with the engine.
