Default ecu??

as you guys have seen i got a few posts problems with my car which i shouldnt now seems everyday things are getting worse not better now it was in to get looked at couldnt find any faults none registered now to me if the ecu aint working corrently then faults would not be stored and these problems will mount up now next may the car needs mot with the faults it would fail,, but also if the person using the diagnostic device is not working it right then do you expected it to work, mmarchines work as good as the user

i think they dont want to change the ecu cause its a long job and its warranty work they would rather prefer to keep resetting the lights until i got to foot the bill for everything

that aint gonna work bub cause if they dont fix it soon i am handing car back

You think the ecu is faulty but no faults are stored you are not actually telling us the symptoms of your alleged problem only what you want done about it

Bit like your damaged wing thread

To be fair if it genuinely is warranty work they would do it no problem as they get paid for it anyway but cannot change things for no reason

airbag warnig light is on for 66 seconds longer than it should of 6 seconds

engine managment light staying on for 7 seconds longer than normal

oil ok display staying on for 5 seconds longer than normal

multi display went off came back on

steering is easy then gets stiffer and when you turn slightly its fights to pull back the other way

some maybe electrical, but the warning lights are related to ecu

The ecu is nothing to do with ANY of those faults

It is more likely an alternator issue or the bsi could be faulty

A BSI reset would be first as ALL the things that are not behaving go through the BSI not the ecu

ECUs are pretty reliable they tend to get blamed for everything but are rarely the cause

Could be worse at least he is using paragraphs

As for the alternator not being faulty because its not old enough thats bollox

You seem to have a very black and white view on life nothing on a car has a lifespan you can rely on some people never need a starter in 10 years my espace is a good example of that 180k miles still original starter that does not mean starters never fail on them they do i have been lucky.

Other people need a new one every year when it comes to cars NOTHING is set in stone

Alternator is my guess which to be honest is better and more likely than your guess but you are of course free to believe what you like

Cool

i know the general lifespan of things on cars.
my dad had an escort l reg got rid of it with 265k miles on original clutch gearbox engine alternator.

the car is just abt 2 years old generally the battery is first to give you jip but its fine battery light has never been on like is should if the battery or alternator being at fault, alterntot hass no connection with warning lights like airbag engine managment,

the bsi or < body module> is for electric windows and door etc,

not startup or the warning lights, the ecu is the main computer on a car you go to main sauce first then work out over to find fault going to take car to robins and day peugeot cause it orignally came from at new see what they say get them check every bit of wiring poss. you dont expect a 2 year old car with problems if it were 10 years old may be

lots of fullstop dave lol

Battery light comes on if the alternator is DEAD the alternator can be putting out low votage/current with NO light !!!

Alternator powers THE WHOLE car not the battery and it does indeed have a connection to every fault you mention

Steering is electric if alternator is not putting out sufficient power steering goes heavy !!

Airbag ecu is very sensitive to voltage im actualy surprised you don't have an ABS/ESP fault to in that list

BSI is for ALL the body functions not just windows and this is actually the main computer in the car NOT the engine ecu all functions of the car GO TO BSI

You have a lot to learn.
