Default e-hdi running temperature

I have a 2012 308 e-hdi, Now just having noticed that the temp gauge sits at 90 with the fan dropping it 87ish and then creeps back to 90 for the fan to kick in and so on, Even had the fan still on after i turned the car off when i got to work this morning.

Is this normal for the fan to keep control of the temp now that the outside temperature has dropped? At first i thought it was because it was warm from the outside temp.

Or is it just normal?

Any input would be must appreciated.

Cheers

This is the third DV6 I've had and the first one to have the fan coming on so much, Although this is the first 112 bhp I've had?

The fan shouldn’t come on unless the air con is on or the dpf if regenerating. Wouldn’t have thought unless your in lots of traffic the fan would come on the cooling systems are quite good on these

They are designed to go straight to 90 quickly (nice toasty heater) each manufacturer has a specification that they feel is right for each car always seemed to work well for me and no temperature issues
