Question Dipped beam headlamps indicator on for no [good] reason

Lately, on my 308 (2007) the dipped beam headlamps indicator is on when I start the car although the lighting stalk is in the off position. If I turn the lights on/off, the indicator follows the commands and remains off for the rest of the trip but then on next start it may be on again.

At least once as I got into the car I heard the beeping alarm I usually get when exiting the car, if the lights are on, to remind me to turn them off. So I guess although the lights were off, whichever component is responsible for that alarm still thought that the lights were on, as does the indicator.

Any idea what may be going on?

Switching is done in reverse format nowadays and the lights would come on if you unplugged the switch wipers would also come on so basically everything on the car is on unless the switches are set to off it sounds crazy but thats how most cars work nowadays.

Something is making the com unit think your lights are not turned off a BSI reset may be enough to fix it but make sure you wait the correct amount of time the window down turn on through window is non essential but the times ARE essential
