Default Couple of little niggles

Hello all,

How's it going? Not posted on here for a while, all has been good.

Got a couple of issues currently though.

I've got a tapping noise coming from the engine, not dependant on engine speed, can only be heard at idle and sound is loudest when I put my ear down the the driver side wheel arch. Any suggestions?

Also the window seal on my boot has gone. Is this a difficult thing to replace? Can I do it myself or should I get it booked in?

Thanks in advance.

1) how many miles?

2) do you mean the tailgate glass? If so, it has no seal and is bonded in. The bit you can see is a cosmetic trim. If you can identify the leak you might be able to bodge it with sealant and fit a new trim, but really the glass needs dismounting, the gunk cleaning off, and properly refitting, which is a pro job.

Hi mate,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

1 - The car has just hit 73000. I've had it serviced recently but the tapping noise is still there.

2 - Yeah it's the tailgate glass. I had a look and like you said it's bonded to the glass. I think I'll let that one slip, sounds expensive, plus there's no leak yet.

It's Peugeot part no: 8744ha , they come in a pack of two, left and right and not very expensive from memory.
