Default Can I use either 60 ah or 70 ah battery in 308

Battery died can I use either 027 battery which is in car 60 ah or can I use 100 battery which has higher crank at 70 ah ...???? Will it fit or be too much for altanator ?? 1.6 diesel 2009 308

If it fits...go for it. There is no additional "strain" on the alternator... HOWEVER with smart battery monitors, it may not charge the additional 10ah OR it might detect the battery is on it's way out. If you have access to Peugeot Planet, you might be able to tell the car it has a 70ah battery installed.

I have successfully used an ultracapacitor bank on the 407 in addition to the battery and it didn't seem to mind it at all. Ultracapacitors are energy storage devices which can charge and discharge almost instantaneously (over 700-1000amps from a bank the size of your hand), the alternator would see an open ground.. yet it didn't hesitate at all.

Generally speaking, the bigger the better. All batteries lose capacity over their life, so the more you start with the longer it should last.

Crucial part is will a larger battery fit in the space available?

I have twice bought the larger of two batteries offered for a specific car to find they wouldn't actually fit in the tray.

I have a bigger battery on my 1.6hdi the book actually says to use a big one but everyone always fits smaller ones as there cheaper
