Default Cam belt or chain

I have a Peugeot 308s (2008) 1.6 petrol 120hp. I recently rang a garage and asked them for a quote for a cam belt change. The guy on the phone said his computer wasn’t coming up with any information so he believed it has a chain. I’ve looked through my car manual and it’s saying if it’s a belt it needs changing at 95k or 10 years and no change required for a chain. My car is 11 years old and done 80k, so if it is a belt it’s needing a change now.

It's a chain on the 1.6 petrol engine.

To be more precise its a RUBBISH chain on the prince 1.6 engine

Chains stretch/break just like belts do.

Older 1.6 engines are belts and these tend to fail at 80k miles
