Default Blower resistor

Blower stopped woking so i removed the motor n tested with 12 volts, working fine, so trying to get the resistor out n wedged the bloody thing, doesnt seem to be enough space to get it out, has anyone found a way to get the resistor out?
Or more accurately, how to get a new one back in? Cos im prtty much gonna have to destroy this one to remove it from its new wedged in home.

Changed mine a while back after blower decided to blow full blast every time I turned ignition on. But really just to say It can be removed and replaced with careful manipulation of the part through the right gap . But is a real pain to do, and not a job I would like to do again.
