Default 308 power fold mirrors

does anyone have any pearls of wisdom for removing the mirror glass from a 308 with power folding / heated mirrors?

the nearside mirror has stopped folding now, depsite hearing clicks from inside the mirror when both locking and unlocking the car

i'd like to look inside the mirror for any obvious looseness etc before commiting to replacing it or anything more scary like that but can't quite see how to unclip the mirror glass base from the movement inside. i don't really want to trash the whole thing just to look!

any photos or tips would be helpful

thanks

I've got the same problem with my 307 passenger mirror. That doesn't work. The driver's one is intermittent.

There's a plastic cover on the mirror that unclips, but I've not tried to remove it.

For info Euro Car Parts has power folding mirrors on sale for 38.
