Default 2012 308 headlights for France

Hi, I've checked Service Bx and apparently I have Halogen lamps, I take it they don't have the magic switch inside to change the beam? Could someone confirm this please before I go hunting the breakers?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply.
By 'magic switch' I'm referring to a small lever by the bulb holder, but it may only be on Xenons?

The beam cut off is done by the shield round the dip filament, and also the positioning of the bulb (usually the H4 type) in the reflector. The bulb is held slightly off vertical so the dip beam rises to the left in the UK. The bulb is held off vertical the other way for LHD.

Some reflectors (I had a Cibiť) which could switch the bulb from left to right. Not so on the 308 however.
But a bit of black tape in a suitable place on the lens works fine.

If you are takig the car to france permanenty, then go to a French car breaker, they have loads of headlight units, all the right type.

Thanks very much Brian for clarifying, that's what I thought, but lived in hope that I was wrong.
