Default 2010 308 gt

Hi all.

New to this forum and hoping for some advise. I’m the thinking of getting a 308 gt 2010. It has 47k on the clock. Anything I need to look for? When do they timing chains need replacing? Any horror stories about these or common faults.

All comments welcome

Scott

Carbon build up, coils, hpfp. Timing chain/tensioner failure is obvious if you can start it from cold.
Although these are very chattery engines anyway.

Ask how I know <<

Hpfp? I’m guessing you got stung with a bad example.

No, only thing mine has had is a new chain and tensioners.
I know the faults from doing homework before I bought it.

What mileage did you change the chain at. That’s why I looking it up now to decide whether I’m going to get one or not.

Did it fault or did you change it before it faulted

It had just started stretching apparently. It was starting to make a very slight clatter from a cold start.
