Default Weird ABS Fault & Solution - 307cc

Ages ago I had a warning light coming up telling me I had a fault with the ABS. After searching the net for ages and looking at all the solutions I could find, nothing fixed my problem.

I eventually found that I had a faulty brake switch (under the passengers section of the dash), the switch is adjustable via a plastic part that has a ratchet type configuration. After adjusting this - the problem was gone. A few months later the problem came up again so I replaced the switch - and it's been fine ever since.

Anyway I just thought I'd post this here in case anyone else has the same problem.

Happens on 407s too the ABS uses the brake switch to know when you have pressed the brake pedal but if its not adjusted correctly it goes in the huff
assume nothing check everything twice !!
