Default Washer / Wiper system fault

Peugeot 307 2005 estate 2.0 Hdi 90.

Hoping someone can shed some light. My front washer was not working but if you twisted the stalk for the rear it would shoot out of the front but the wipers would not actuate.

Decided to replace the pump, did so and the same thing is happening. The reason for the rear shooting out of the front I could probably put down to a clogged line, but the reason for the front not working stumps me.

I have noticed that when you pull the stork back for the front wash the motor makes no noise and the wipers don't actuate?? I cant work out why twisting the stork for the back makes the motor run because surely if there is power going to the pump the front would work as well?? It must be a switching issue.

At the moment its not a huge deal as the blockage in the line for the rear is allowing me to wash the front screen (or I guees I could switch the lines over), but I really need to get this sorted and am left scratching my head.

Any Ideas from anyone would be welcome.

I have trawled any wiring diagrams but to no avail, is there a relay for the front or a separate micro switch, or could this be the dreaded Comm unit??

The wipers work fine in every other respect on all settings and the down swipe, just not when the front wash is called for.

If you cannot hear the motor running when you pull the slalk forward. It sounds like a switching problem to me.

Sometimes these motors run one way to wash the front and the other to wash the rear. But as patspiercing says, if you can't hear the motor it's probably a faulty switch or something.

Thanks, do you happen to know what the circuit is? Is it just Comm to fuse then to motor or is there any intermediate switch or separate circuit for front and back?
