Default Rear wiper 307 SW estate

The rear wiper has broken on my car, I got a new one but it will not fit due to there being a silver round (thing) that has lines on it. How do you get this thing off so I can fit the new arm.

Thank you

Sounds like it's come off the broken wiper arm. I got a small saw on it when I replaced mine.

It's a job for a Dremel.

Sound like the metal park of the wiper arm that grips onto the tapered motor spindle has fused and separated from the plastic arm. Happens quite a lot. I managed to get mine off by getting a cheapish puller off ebay.

I used some mole grips and WD40 to get mine off
