Default Program Peugeot Key

Hi

I only have one key for my car which makes me a little nervous - so I was thinking of making a second.

What do I need? From doing a bit of reading:

1. a virgin key, like this: PEUGEOT 307 Mk1 REMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING TRANSPONDER PLIP KEY FOB 6554RC | eBay

2. some kind of (transponder?) code

3. peugeot planet

I don't have any codes with my car - where can I get this information, other than peugeot dealership?

Thanks for your help

I'm pretty sure its as simple as buying another key (with the electrics inside), holding the lock button for x amount of seconds and doing some other stuff. 99% sure you don't need PPlanet.

Wouldn't mind knowing a definite answer to this also as I have only one key!

You'll need key either remote type with transponder or just a transponder in a empty key fob with cut blade (transponder must be new unused)

the code which Betty can supply for a much cheaper fee than any dealer.

planet will be required to code the new transponder to your car (all car keys are required at this point)

You can also get a key cut and cloned to your original key then planet is not needed but if you want the remote type then you do need planet

Timpsons shoes cut and program a key without need to do anything to your car for 37.50 at the moment.
