Default Planet Peugeot help

Hi

Is anyone round the Chesterfield or Ilkeston area that could plug in and look for faults on my 307 sw 1.6 hdi...

It runs really rough for about 2 mins from cold start and blows alot of smelly grey smoke from exhaust and then runs fine afterwards.. i wondered if it could be injector seals ? But would like to have it plug in to see if any probs show up ..

Many thanks nathan

Sounds like a fuel or EGR issue injector seals would cause smoke from around injectors and a chuffing noise.

There may not be an error code, I've seen a 1.6hdi with a known broken EGR that didn't throw up any codes. Live data on planet will help more.

Reading codes only gets you an idea of where the fault lies the codes WONT tell you what is causing it in all cases you need live data AND knowledge of the engine thats what i was supplying my knowledge of the engine says its not injector seals and it could be EGR.

Many people will just plug in a code reader read codes replace every part the codes refer to and it STILL wont work as the codes were telling you SYMPTOMS not actual problems.
