Question Peugeot planet chargers?

Hi all
For all you people that have brought a planet how much do you charge people for a diagnostic test and reset?

I think it's each to their own and you've just reminded me that I have a job to finish but I guess it also depends on what you're doing and how long it's gonna take and then there's the question of whether you go to them or they come to you.

I've never seen anyone state how much they charge.

To be honest, if anyone near me wanted it done, I'd leave it to their discretion rather than asking a fixed price.

Before I got Planet I asked Pug and they wanted 65 so kinda puts it into perspective.

I was thinking of buying the kit and if anyone wanted to have theirs done i was thinking of asking for 10 towards the cost of it.

A tenner is usually the going rate and is all I take if people come to me, or a nice bottle of wine. I charge 15 if its going somewhat out of my way to do it and charge 20 to non forum members. I PDF the fault code pages and offer a free second diagnostic after they've done a fix.

And if I can't give clear results then I don't charge.

Considering a garage will charge at least 25 with generic equipment, a Pug indy garage will charge around 40 with Planet and Peugeot charge 80 (although some will charge 40 if the diagnostic takes under half an hour, but most will bill you the full hour).

No point being a busy fool. Reading faults is simple, planet is never usually necessary for most 'readings' as its the interpretation of the fault that counts as the real diagnosis.
