Default Peugeot gearbox code 20QC16

Hi All,

I have a Peugeot 307 1.6petrol 2006year hatchback

The diff's gone in the gearbox - oil everywhere

Removed old gearbox and its got a code on it of 20QX16

Do I have to replace with the same or can I use a 20QC13 or 20QC87 or 20QC15?

And does it matter if its from a 1.4?

Thanks

You need a 1.6 box as the flywheel sizes vary but it must be from the same engine the codes dont matter as long as it is from the same engine

No not any 1.6 box as that still gives many versions of 1.6 petrol and diesel!!

You need a 307 1.6 gearbox from the same engine code as there are variations over the years but its not a hard one to find the main difference is the starter position varies and thats why there are so many codes its better to match engine code as then you know it fits your engine.
