Peugeot 307 stopping while driving.?
Hey Guys im after some help ..
I have a peugeot 307 1.6l petrol, its been fine apart from 7 weeks ago.
whilst driving my car cut out it was still runningn but no power or rev's.. after leaving the engine off for 30 seconds it alowd me to start again and move on.
Its been doing it ever since .. ive had a garage look at it and they checked all the intake and egr .. nothing is wrong .. i changed the throttle padle and nothing changed .. it gives me no warning it just drops all power and revs ans i have no choice but to stop and leave it for a minute or two before carrying on.

i also haven no engine light or anything come up as a light or warning.?!
Any ideas i would be so gratefull ..

I would suggest you get it diagnosed using the proper Peugeot kit. Either a Peugeot dealer or better still, read the posts in the links and contact a member who may be able to help you for a few beer tokens

After I had the head gasket replaced I am getting 2 fault codes P0011 and P0076 then the engine cuts. The ignition will not turn the starter and I have to wait a good couple of minutes or lock and unlock the doors a couple of times before it would swing again. most of the time the engine would die again within 5 seconds. Can anybody help please?

I spoke to a Mechanic who said that if you do any repairs or change any sensors you have to do a ECU configure and reset ?? Is this true and what exactly must be reconfigured ? My Lexia cable kit is not the full chip one and does not read the 307 ECU, is there a person in KZN South Aftrica who can do this config and reset?

The mechanic is wrong.

The issue of not starting and locking and unlocking to get it turning again says to me you have something wrong electrically possibly under bonnet fusebox issue as these will cause many issues including random cutting out.

The starter signal runs through the fusebox but locking and unlocking should not affect starter motor working or not as the immobiliser system cuts the spark or fuel not the starter motor its just a coincidence that locking and unlocking works possibly a power surge overcoming the broken circuit for a while.

Your real issue is either wiring or the fusebox thats where i would concentrate if car came to me.

Locate the Injector Ignition calculator unit ,part nr. 1943 A3, in the main fuse box area and clean and check all the contacts.
I believe that this unit must come to a ready state before the ECU will allow power to the BSM (Engine controll module) and power to the starter relay. Can somebody confirm this?

Injector calculator IS the ECU !

BSM is not the ECU BSM is the under bonnet fusebox !!

Starter relay is INSIDE the underbonnet fusebox/BSM

As i say wiring is your likely real issue
