Lightbulb Peugeot 307 Automatic

Greetings everyone in this forum.

Anyone with technical know-how/experience in automatic transmission please help,

My Peugeot 307 automatic, 2006 model, 214000km was driving okay until recently stopped going into drive suddenly, either forward or reverse. The gear lever shifts well in all positions but nothing happens. (No brake no Drive)
The brake/clutch pedal feels loose/spongy when you put your foot, but the main fluid resevoir is full up.
Please help..

Actually when this pedal(brake) went loose/spongy thats when i lost drive, no movement in either forward or reverse. The gear lever is shifting in all positions and the selector cable is intact

I cannot imagine a link between the gearbox and the brake pedal! Two separate systems normally. So in essence you are saying that you now have no brakes and the gearbox has no drive?
