Default Oil level guage

Hi, The digital oil level guage on my 307 1.4 2004 car always shows a row of empty bars. I tend to check via the dipstick anyway but would like to sort this display reading out. I can see a small sensor plug on front of engine next to oil filter. It only has 1 wire coming from it. Im not sure if this is the oil level sensor or if its the oil pressure sensor though.
Are they one and the same or does my car have one of each ? Ive had a good look but can only see one sensor. Im really looking to replace whichever sensor sends the signal to the guage. Can anyone advise on this ?

Default oil level sensor location ?

Its definitely the only sensor I can see.
The haynes manual I have seems to refer to the one in that location as the oil pressure sensor though.
Is there any way to find out online if my car has both an oil pressure sensor and an oil level sensor ?

A full row of empty cubes like this [][][][][][] means full of oil, if you get this [][][]_ _ _ its between min and max if you get _ _ _ _ _ _ they start flashing means under min

Thanks very much for this ! It looks like mine is perfectly fine.
It was a mechanic who pointed out this supposed fault to me.
He said that the level indicator should display a line if solid filled cubes and that hollow ones meant empty.
It looks like he needs his peugeot knowledge topped up
