Smile A little help needed: Spare window switch (just the plastic part)

Hello everyone,

A couple of months ago I managed to break the windows lift switch while cleaning the car (just the plastic bit you pull/push not the switch itself) (see picture).

After talking to the local dealership and a few scrap yards I couldn't find the plastic piece itself, only the whole unit (windows and mirror switches) which is quite expensive, even second hand.

My question: does anyone have a spare switch lying around and is willing to place it in an envelope and send it to Athens, Greece. I'm more than willing to pay for the item and shipping and handling!

Thanks and happy holidays!

I've had these fail, and managed to repair with superglue. Mine was the 4 electric windows model, so I swapped the little used rear switches for the fronts.

You can buy a whole new unit quite cheaply from aliexpress.

If you don't have any luck, see if you can find one on Ebay, send me the link and I'll buy it and send it on.

This one posts worldwide:

The switches dismantle and are interchangeable.

Thank you for taking the time to find the eBay advertisement!
I'll wait a few days to see if anyone here has one, and if not I'll order the unit from the ad.

I did manage to glue the broken switch together but the auto up/down feature doesn't work at all, and the switch itself was damaged enough and feels like it won't last very long, so I avoid using it.

You can surely find used and/or after market ones in our local market. PM me if you want more details.

This is to prevent spammers harassing members. To get your PM privileges enabled you must have contributed 20 posts to the forum. If you don't want to needlessly comment on random posts, use the NEED 20 POSTS BEFORE PM thread.

If you can't post on that one, try this one instead.

Usernames can be clicked - do this to check when they were last online. If they've not been online for a month or more, let Gibbo know so he can remove them from the map.

Make sure you send a PM and not a Visitor Message, PMs send a notification email, visitor messages do not.
