Exclamation injector number 4 !! high reading

hi all , my mate came tonight with his laptop and pp2000 !!! no faults found on car

but he checked the injectors on pp2000 and all the injectors were minus apart from number 4 which was 2.00 is this a high reading and was falling down on the screen to about 1.30 ??

how would he test the injector ??!

and if i need a new injector wheres the cheapest place to get one ??

No faults mean no problems!
Whats up with the car you're getting a diagnostic check done?

I agree with above , don`t worry about injectors in pp unless they say so in a fault code , injectors vary quite a bit

Exclamation

hi, we put it on the PP just to check the car over to see if any fault were on the car and the guy who check it works for Mercedes benz and was looking at everything and noticed that 3 of the injectors were running at minus and number 4 was something like 2.00 but was falling so around 1.35 ish and said this could be the reason why it was starting like it was in the mornings ????

any more info / advice ! i have put some diesel magic into the fuel tank the other day so just waiting for this stuff to work through the tank to see if there is a blockage etc in the injectors or system ?! how long does this stuff take to work ??? wife does 66 miles a day

Don't worry. Its only the ecu working as it should. If problems arise, you'll know.
I've seen loads of them in minus figures and they run sweet!

Those numbers are injector balance. One injector is needing a slightly different amount of fuel to accelerate that piston at the same speed as the other three, at idle.
Spec is +-2 I believe, so you're good.

But if you really want to worry, be aware that the ECU doesn't know *why* the IQ differs. It would only suggest an injector issue if the engine is mechanically sound. It might also suggest a compression issue on that pot...
