Default How to replace external temperature sensor??

Dear friends, after a "nice visit" before MOT to my neighbours carwash, my external temperature sensor stopped working. I got a new one from ebay but i would like ur suggestions, how to replace that, do i need to remove the mirror glass and cut the wires or do i need to remove the whole mirror and do the job?? Any instructions how to remove the mirror glass without breaking it? Thanks!!

Does the new sender have a plug on the end of the wires? If so you have to remove the door trim to get at the other part. But I just soldered the wires together.

There is a clip behind the glass holding it in place. Bu there are different versions. Put the glass looking upwards as far as you can and you might see it underneath. Some just pull out with a sharp tug.

Thanks for ur reply, mine doesn't have a plug and i wouldn't really like to remove the whole mirror. So the trick is to move upwards the mirror glass and look for clips? Is it easy to put back the glass?
