Default Handbrake retaining bracket - Plastic collet snapped

Morning,
Any ideas on how to fix my handbrake. The plastic retainer has snapped resulting in the handbrake constantly falling out of the bracket. Peugeot is denying any knowledge of it existing and I can only order the full assembly at 125 . Having trouble searching for it as do not know the correct name!!

Any help appreciated

my first thought is try to and bodge something. Possibly a washer or two with a small slice out of them for the cable to slot in

Maybe worth a look in tool station, halfords or similar for a suitable e-clip or similar
