Default H1 hid help

Hi all. After looking and mailing people, I've been unable to get an answer, so here goes.
I was about to fit a hid kit to my 2006 307cc with projector headlights and H1 low beams, when I realised that the live and earth spade connectors coming from the hid ballast would not be able to fit the oe loom. This is because the terminal that powers the light also has an earth integrated into it, so that, in effect, there is only one terminal available to plug in to. When I have previously fitted hids to other cars, there is normally a live to the lamp and an earth attached to the metal bulb housing, leaving the live and a separate female earth terminal to attach the 2 ballast wires to.
Can anyone let me know how I could proceed now? Can I earth to the body? Any help appreciated....

Connect the ballast -ve to a suitable -ve earth point on the body, and the +ve to the loom, problem solved, the H1 bulb will have 2 wires connecting it to the ballast.

I thought I might be able to earth to the body, so thanks for confirming.
After my latest episode of condensation in the headlights, think I'll wait until it gets hotter before I do it!
