Question Gearbox

Hello everyone

I have a 53 plate 307sw estate auto tiptronic, only had it a week, so far pleased, I have done only town driving so far. Just been to shop, when pulling into a parking bay almost to a stop the car surged forward quite violently. Went to shop, started no probs, drove home fine. up to then car starts fine and runs ok, ANY ideas

Silly question but did you unwittingly push the throttle whilst still in drive?

This can happen with stop/start systems but I doubt your 53 plate car has that?

I would check the gearbox oil level then or maybe change the oil as they are very sensitive to that. My Astra auto was sometime reluctant to engage drive so I checked the oil level and it needed topping up and since then it has been good as gold!
