Default Fuel filter

307 HDI 51 plate

I have this 'anti pollution fault' and the car is in limp mode.

I'm waiting for the Lexia pp2000 diagnostic to arrive, but thought I would tinker whilst i waited.

The car would drive in safe mode - but not much past 3000 revs before it stalls. I've notice lately that it struggles to get past 2000 revs, but starts and idles fine.

So i wondered if it was the fuel filter. I unscrewed the drain plug at the bottom, but nothing came out - even with it totally removed. Took the filter off the car and drained it from the top hoses. Quite a bit of floaters in it.

So i'm wondering if the filter is blocked.... or is this usuall

All done.

Car is now running OK with no limp mode. 'anti pollution fault' still on though

Had to buy a filter with the sensor already fitted. Apparently there has been some cock up at Motoquip and they haven't made the port long enough on their replacements
