Default Fitting outside temperature sensor (in mirror)

The outside temperature indication in the central console on my 2007 307 1.6HDi has died. The display currently reads ---. A bit of searching on this forum indicates a common fault is the outside temperature sensor, which located in an outside mirror. Replacement parts appear to be pretty cheap (Peugeot 207 307 407 Outdoor Outside Temperature Sensor under door wing mirror | eBay, but is it an easy DIY job? How are the wires connected to the car side of the wiring loom?

Yes, relatively easy. Take off the mirror cover and the door interior and it will all become apparent.

You'll probably have to cut the wires at some point and splice in the new sensor.

I've also purchased from this seller.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot, and will report any difficulties.
