Default Engine Mounting Temporary Repair

I have just returned from the UK and during the journey noticed a severe judder when pulling away from a stand still. It got progressively worse during the journey and I suspected the clutch. I was relieved to get home and the following day investigated the problem.
I discovered that the top engine mount rubber had become unbonded from the metal framework. I priced up the engine mountings and found that they were significantly cheaper in the UK than here in France (Crazy but true). I ordered the parts and they should arrive in the next couple of weeks.
I have managed to do a temporary repair by ramming a piece of wood between the rubber and the mounting and securing it with a screw through the hole in the top of the mount. It will not last forever but should last until the new mounts arrive.
