Default Electric key lock/unlock barely works

Hello, I have a problem with the electric key for my car (Peugeot 307 Oxygo 2007). Sometimes the lock and unlock works while other times it doesn't depending on my distance from the car. Sometimes it only work when I stand next to the car and other times it works from a long distance (2 meters or so). I have to "mass" click the unlock button probably 20 times before it unlocks.

Is this a known problem and if not, does anyone know what the problem could be?

Try not to mass click, some key/immo systems will reset the key code as it thinks someone is trying to break into the car.

I already did, I changed the battery two times. Brand new 3volt batteries.

Oh, I didn't know that. It worked few hours ago when I used the car so I guess it haven't reset yet. But I will keep that in mind. Thanks
