Default EGR clean

hi guys, i have a 2005, 307 1.6 hdi 110 model, getting bother with my EGR valve, but have heard its difficult to get in to for cleaning or to replace, was going to block off the egr but was told it needs to be working properly to do that ? a company 10 miles away offer a Carbon Clean service which they say will get it clean again, has any one tried this ? or heard how the results are ? thanks

Have you got a fault code? What are the symptoms? That would help. If the EGR itself is blocked, carbon cleaning MAY help. If a valve isn't working properly, it won't help at all.

Have a search on the forum, there is plenty of info about EGR blanking if you decide to go that route.

its tight to get out but the best way to clean is to take it off undo it and clean it with carb cleaner. you can try egr cleaner but they get well gunked up
