Default Drivers side gear box drive shaft seal replacement

Good morning all new to your forum so thought I’d put that in first lol so my problem is the inner gear box seal was leaking so brought 2 from SMF as they list 2 different types, got the old one out and not sure if this is right, in the 1st picture it appears the seal has popped out but no the 2nd picture is of the old seal pulled from the gearbox at the bottom and the 2 seals above are the 2 different ones listed and my thought is the top left seal is the new design and the 3rd picture is of what I thought was the gearbox seal but looks like a dust cap can you advise me on the the correct seal and weather or not I leave the other seal on the shaft or remove it please and finally I found out what the horrible crawling noise was when stopping and pulling away it’s the joint in the exhaust so I’m guessing the gearbox/engine mount is worn and allowing the engine to twist to much and needs changing what are your thoughts on that? thanks for reading my post

There are 2 different types of seals but either will work

The rubber part on the shaft is just an extra part not all have it i believe it is just there to protect the real seal from dirt and possibly heat from exhaust
