Default CAT smells like rotten eggs

Hi my neighbours 307 smells of rotten eggs does that mean cat is workin good or emissions goin to be high?

All cats have a characteristic eggs/sulphur smell...gets better as mileage builds up!!

The emissions will be fine,Like Tiptronic says once you get some miles behind it the smell should start to fade,also once the temp of the engine get to operating temperature it will disappear,if your worried about the emissions for say MOT purposes,drive the car and get it nice and warm before the emissions are done.
