Unhappy cambelt woes....

Ok...sighs n asks for help again..done cambelt n all good after a faff. Only thing is when I left camshaft locking pin in n span emgine...briefly...its now leaking a small amount of oil from behind timing belt cover in cam area...have I cracked rocker cover or cracked the head? Not sure what the locking pin goes into....need to change whatever ive cracked as its getting oil on new belt...cheers sheepishly

You have got to be joking.When as you say,span the engine,do you mean turning it by hand or on the starter?At a guess I would say you have probably damaged the cyl head.

Pin snapped as span it on starter but not sure if hole for pins in head or rocker cover

pin goes in head casting but its possible the broken pin has damaged the oil seal as if it burst the head i would expect it to be pouring out

Cheers..ill get cam shaft sprocket and rear cover off to get proper look...was one of those days where it all went pear shaped.
