Default Cam belt change 2005 EW10 petrol engine

Does anyone have links to service info on this or any sage advice? Iíve done a 406 HDi cam belt but not a dual cam job so any heads up would be appreciated. Iíll be doing the waterpump as well.

Done. Haynes manual not useful as the engine is a later model than it covers. Just used common sense, past experience and the instructions that came with the Gates kit.

Well done for getting it right !

ALL EW10 engines are basically the same there are plenty threads including pics on the forum already.

2 main issues

1 its a floating crank do not turn crank once bottom bolt is loose.
2 and this is the biggy it is NOT timed at TDC the pistons are half way down the bore but not EXACTLY half way so you need to use the correct locking tools and the locking hole for bottom end is in REAR of block around driveshaft.

As i say plenty info on the forum in various threads.
