Default bcm help

hi ive got a 2003 52 reg peugeot 307 xsi 2.0 16v petrol, its currently a non starter, the battery went dead as was sitting a while so changed the battery and now wont start it turns over well but wont fire, since putting the new battery on the electric windows have stopped working the lights have stopped working other than the side lights and hazards, the wipers and heather blowers dont work either, ive read on here about the bsi reset but says you have to leave the drivers window down to reset it which i cant do, ive also read about the bcms being very common to playing up so had alook at mine and the side of the casing has split and looks like water has been in there, been trying to find a replacement today from local breakers and have found loads of 307's but non with the same part number on the bcm, my part number is 9646405380 and was just wondering if theres anyway i could find out if this part is used on any other models or cars such as citroens etc or if anyone has any ideas how i could reset the bsi without putting the window down, thanks

Part number is not the problem as the BSI is matched to the key and the ecu and in some cases the speedo also you cannot just replace it

You need a whole set from a working car or a brand new one

As above. Make sure its an ecu bsi and keys from a lower mileage car or the bigger mileage will go onto your car.

Ok i missunderstood the underbonnet fusebox is not coded

you can replace this on its own but your better with new as it is a common fault a used replacement might not last
