to answer your PM- diesels smoke because of too much fuel, too little air, or incorrect timing.
Did you disconnect anything when fitting the injectors? Is the smoke continuous or only at times?

were the injectors tested because of smoke, or has the smoke only started since the reinstall?

which engine?

Hi,my injectors were changed as i have been having starting problems for a while,3/4th turn to start then lots of white smoke, was told one of the injectors was no good but unsure which one,so i bought a second hand set had them all tested and then fitted them all,but recentley it got worse 7/8th turn to start then very bad smoke so i thought it is time to fit the new ones.2.0 hdi 54 reg 136bhp.

sounds like the injectors don't suit the engine. One of the boffins will no doubt chime in as to whether these ones need coding to the ECU...
