Default All light cut out at 70mph!!

I was driving home last night at about 11pm, suddenly my headlights and dash lights cut out for about 2 seconds.

Needless to say I almost poo'd myself!

A quick Google search suggests a comm fail?

Luckily the lights came back on, but I'm not feeling to confident about driving in the dark any time soon!?!

Don't panic - its nothing to do with the comms unit going faulty - or you doing 70 mph.

Over time the stalk light switch wears out - and ends up loose - if you have the lights on and go over a bump - the switch will move and turn the lights off.

You need to wedge something in between the switch and the stalk - to keep the two apart - some one on here used a rubber band to keep the switch in place.

Thanks for your reply

I've had a new spring and plastic section sat in a cupboard for years, maybe I should fit it soon??
