Default ABS wiring loom repair

I thought I would post this as it might be helpful to the others. When I bought my 307 it had an ABS fault. I read the codes using Peugeot Plant and it reported that the rear left sensor was reading open circuit. I found the wiring has fallen down and melted itself to the top of the exhaust

I also found the wire leaving the connector had been damaged by the strain of the unsupported wiring

The wiring to the connector was so bad once I had removed the damaged wiring I was left with only this

Luckily I was able to carefully solder a new length of wire to the tiny stubs. A quick bit of heat shrink and it was good to go. The ABS fault cleared once I took the car for a drive
