Default 307cc won't start, error message seatbelt tensioner or airbag faulty

Hi,
I have a 2006 307cc which started fine the other day, but now it refuses.

I get a message on my screen which states something along the lines of seatbelt tensioner or airbag faulty.

Would this cause the car to think it is not safe to start and drive?

Seatbelt error is probably coming up BECAUSE its not starting its unlikely to be the real issue you will no doubt get economy mode active shortly too.

Have you fixed your key ?
do the beep test does it beep ?

Ok, it passed the beep test.

On trying to start, I get all manner of warning lights come on with warning beep as well.

Stop flashs up, Air bags and rear, protective pop-up roll over hoops light, passenger airbag disarmed indicator light and handbrake, brake fluid level light...

Message on screen states fault with seatbelt tensioner or airbag fault...

All was fine the other day!

Yep bad battery or a bad earth connection from the battery

READ before removing battery it needs to be done carefully

3 minute rule.

Okay, thanks.
I did have a look at the battery terminals, and they do appear a little corroded, will have a proper look later.

Its just odd how it was fine the other day, and now it is beeping and bleeping at me!

Things fail randomly or if say in case of battery the lights have been left on and its charge is low. First port of call is have it checked out and also the charging system.
