Default 307 non-start, beep, RT3 blank

Hi,

Went to start the 307 and when I turned the ignition on it beeped -- an unfamiliar beep, would not crank, and the RT3 did not start up.

Any ideas?

How do you change the battery on these? It seems to be well hidden.

Disconnect and lift out the air box.

Lift up the plastic battery cover slightly and pull towards you.

Then you'll see the small clamp holding the battery at its base.

Battery measured 6v

Jump started it and now at F1 Autocentre who are fitting a new battery.

Didn't fancy stripping that down myself and it's taken this poor chap quite a while in the rain.
