Default 307 hdi tuning

Hi all .
I've had my 1.4 hdi 307 mapped to near 90hp
I've got a manual boost controller spare.
Would it be a bad idea to try dial in a little more boost ? How strong are these engines ?
I just want a little more from low down

Making more boost will not help low down only higher up the rev range.

Small turbo will give low down torque but small turbos dont make big boost.

Larger turbos give more boost but low end suffers its all about getting the best overall every driver wants a different thing.

This is why most cars now have variable geometry turbos to make the power more linear the engines are strong enough the weakest link is the clutch.

With more boost you are probably going to propel your turbo to the afterlife, if you are lucky. These little engine are pretty though, but the turbo is very small, and most of them dont have an Intercooler.
If you are planning to raise the boost, make sure its intercooled. Cause you are going way out of the efficiency area of the turbo generating allot of heat. This can give you loads of problems.
Plus i think it will go into safe mode if there is an overboost condition.

I ran a 206 HDI with a tune for quite some time, and it was run hard, no serious issues.
