Default 307 Fixes and Problems cont...

I have two peugeot 307s

Lets start with things I have fixed
307 D Turbo 2.0 HDI 110 Bhp 2002

Intermittent horn - basically - remove the steering wheel airbag and clean up the bad earth clip in the stearing wheel boss...

Wait.. It comes with a twist

Follow these instructions - or risk a ECU Corruption - or air bag miss-fire !

Open the Bonnet and drivers door window.
Close and turn off everthing else
Wait 3 minutes... tea time !
Disconnect the battery, negative first - positive second
Wait 30 minutes.. tea and bacon sandwich time..

DO NOT TOUCH THE CAR !.. go away from it.. trust me on this one

Now carry out the steering wheel air bag removal - two holes in the rear of the steering wheel has two clips in them - just push them with two flat blade screwdrivers - push the screws drivers towards each other - pull the cover gently whilst pushing and then it should release.. lots of wires so be carefull

clean up the eath tag - (black wires on it) and refit.

Now reconnect the battery positive first, then negative
Close the bonnet.

Wait for minute... then reach through the open window and turn on the headlights. Turn off, then open the door, turn the ignition on and close the window, shut the door, lock the car with key fob button, wait 1 minute, unlock the car - start the car and set the clock etc.. radio

Horn fixed - cash saved !!

washer pump has a non return valve in it so when it drives the motor in one direction it washes the front and in the other direction is does the rear.

if only one direction works - check the pipe work and the non return valve

Default other stuff ive fixed

Multi changer CD player just flashing orange on the numbers

Removed unit from the car - removed the covers to find a drive gear had lost a tooth - glued it back on with superglue (tweezers and magnifying glass)

used a fine tip soldering iron to melt the plastic a little to ensure a good bond -

put back together - plugged in - all ok

saves a few quid
