Default 307 2003/ 1.4 rapped intermitant fault

Hi i am new here so hope i am posting on right page sprry if im not . I have just brpught this car and i have found a problem hope someone can help . It drives fine but some times it goes like clutch is slipping but only every now and again and it dont slip on a hill any iders what it can be ?

That's a coincidence, i'm in Long Eaton as well

When driving the car, get up to about 30 in 3rd gear and then drop it into 2nd and let the clutch out, revs should spike quite aggressively if so your problem lies elsewhere, if not, or they spike slowly then it could well be clutch slip.

After a drive, stick your head under the bonnet and see if you can smell burning, slippy clutch can be smelly.

No smell . And did it on pulling away tonight wondered if it could be cable?
